How about some Slovak sweets?

Dear Friends,

We would like to present our traditional oldschool recipe for delicious "Perky".
Perky are traditional sweet dish, which was served many many years ago and still is very popular. It is a recipe of our dear grandmothers, who prepared Perky from potato dough. Perky are small squares, which are filled with homemade marmalades, and fixed in the shape of small triangles. We offer you this easy recipe based on flour.

What do you need for this recipe?

300g all-purposed flour
1 egg
200g water
marmelade
150g walnuts
powder sugar
butter

Mix flour, egg and water. Make elastic dough, and roll it in order to be thin. Cut the dough into the smaller squares. With a small spoon, place a portion of marmelade in the middle of the square. Take one corner of the square and place it over the other in order to create a triangle. Fix the edges with the fork, we do not want the marmelade to leak out. Put the triangles into the boiling water, and boil for 3 minutes. After they are cooked, sprinkle Perky with walnuts and sugar, and pour the melted butter over.

Enjoy!!!

We would like to let you know, that our old bridge is finally getting some make over, which it really needs! From July 1st, our bridge will be closed for 2 months, July and August. Therefore, we would liek to inform you that our transfers from Vienna and Bratislava Airport to Spa Resort Piestany would be 20 minutes longer due to the reconstruction. Sunday Fun in Carpathian Mountains

Carpathian Mountains Circle is popular excursion, which we organize every Sunday. Last week, we enjoyed some snow (yes, there is still some!), beautiful panarama in Mala Fatra National Park, delicious fresh fish in Rajecke Teplice, afternoon walk in lovely village Cicmany, and amazing stories and legends of castles Trencin and Beckov.

Our small group of gentlemen from Kuwait had a lovely time, with our English-speaking guide Veronika. Not only they visited all of these amazing places, but they also brought a piece of their culture and religion to our region.

After a delicious lunch, they performed their traditial prayers in the park of Rajecke Teplice. Local poeple were extremely interested in Muslim traditions, and therefore, Mr.Mishari, member of the group,  explained the procedures and importance of every step that is performed in the prayer. :)

This short lecture on Muslim religion was very interesting and we were happy that we have learned something new again.

Thank your, our dear group from Kuwait, for learning us new things! :) Even though, our tour guides are professionals, sometimes it is our client who can learn us more, and we highly appreciate it! :)

Have a look on these lovely pictures of beautiful swans, traditional folk costumes and handsome Slovaks, beatufiul views from the mountains and afternoon prayers of our group!

....and some funny video of snowfights :)
